1. Super Mario Run Release Date Announced
A hearty welcome to the first Nintendo title to be released on mobile, Super Mario Run. The new trailer is out, the release date (December 15th) has been confirmed, and pricing is now public. While the game is free to try, if you want more than the three starter levels (coins, ghosts, or mushroom kingdom building), you’re gonna have to shell out $9.99.
2. Nintendo Switch Price Confirmed?
Rumor has it the price for the Nintendo switch has been confirmed! For the base version, it will be 199.99, and an upgraded version (with more memory and a bonus game) will cost 249.99. These prices are in pounds, so it may be more, or the same for differing countries (249.99/299.99 USD).
As well, the pro controllers are being tentatively priced at 40 pounds, so expect controllers to be in the 50-60 USD range.
3. LoZ: Breath of the Wild Delayed
In what can only be the saddest news ever, the new LoZ game will not be coming in March 2017. Nintendo cites localization issues which will push back the release by about 4-6 months, once localization is completed.
This means a release date of around summer 2017, and that it will not be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch.
4. Persona 5 Delayed, Again
It’s been delayed, again, from February 2017 to April 4th, 2017. At least the studio announced that, to make up for this delay, they’re adding dual audio. This means you can play with Japanese or English voices (even though the game is already out in Japan so this isn’t really a bonus?).
5. New Ubisoft Game Leaked?
So there’s an Ubisoft location in Watch Dogs 2, and it has an interesting task assigned to it. You must hack into developers’ computers, steal a game trailer, and sell it to a gaming website. The game is called “Project Pioneer“, and it may be more real than we believe.
The problem is that, when developers stuck it in the game, it was supposed to be announced next year. That’s not the case, anymore, apparently, and the whole game may be getting a retooling. We’ll just have to see.
