These pills won’t heal the pain in We Happy Few.
We Happy Few gives us that eerie Bioshock feeling, but with a twist. If you’ve been keeping up with the game, you’ve probably seen a lot of the videos released so far. These videos show us about the game, and how it’s based in an alternate timeline, where The Soviet Union went to war against England in WWIII.
In a city called Wellington Wells, you are Arthur Hastings. Originally, your job is to edit unhappy articles from old newspapers. Something is wrong, and Arthur decides he’s not going to take the “Joy” pills anymore. The Joy pills are what is keeping everyone from seeing the truth that is Wellington Wells.
Once he’s off his meds, everyone sees him as a “Downer,” or someone who is off of their meds. The whole game is based off escaping Wellington Wells. With its Preview date set for the 26th of July, this game has a lot of cool features we’re excited to see. Here are 5 things we are looking forward to in We Happy Few.
